Council have received many complaints about the amount of litter that is being left around skate/youth facilitities in Division 3.

RSL Youth Development Program
Just wanted to mention that a young friend of mine applied for this grant last year and with the help of RSL member. She received a huge amount of money to pursue her goals in music...just wanted to encourage young people to apply. Time can get tough on families at this end of schooling and any little bit helps so give it a go...you never know what you might achieve possibly $5000

youth volunteering
Hi everyone. I'm 21 and soon to move to Ipswich from Adelaide because my fiance lives there. I know you have an IYAC youth advisory council for 12-17 year olds, but I was wondering if you have any other voluntary groups up there for youth or young people (or any ages)? Here in Adelaide we have a YAC, but we also have a group called Youth Action, a volunteer group for 12-25 year olds (same ages as this website) where we plan and implement events for young people. It's basically an event planning group run by the council. We do things like battle of the bands, things for children at the hospital, skate and sound, camps, and so on and so forth. Is there anything like this in Ipswich?
How about this ?
Hey, I am a current member of the IYAC but there are plenty of other things you can do.
1) Queensland Youth Parliament ( YMCA ) URL: http://www.ymcaqyp.org/
2) National Young Liberal Party URL: http://www.qldyl.com/
3) National Young Labor Party URL: http://www.qld.alp.org.au/01_cms/details.asp?ID=10 I hope this helps.
Cheers, Chris...
Youth Volunteering
Hi, We don't have a group like Youth Action in Council, but you could volunteer at the local PCYC or event the Ipswich Hospital Foundation. You can find their details on the Council website's community directory under the category of youth. The web address to the directory is http://www.ipswich.qld.gov.au/community/directories/community/ Hope this helps. It will be great to have another enthusiastic young person in Ipswich wanting to help others.
